Remembrance Day

Boys in Years 7 and 8 have been learning about the significance of Remembrance Day over the last two weeks. The picture books One Minute's Silence and And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda provided the stimulus for thoughtful discussions.

TEDxYouth@BGS - for Year 12s Friday 12 August in the Forum

On Friday we will be hosting a TEDx event for Year 12 students from BGS and BGGS. We are very excited about our speaker line-up, which includes three speakers and three performers from BGS, and two speakers and five performers from BGGS, as well as seven amazing external speakers.

Book Fair

Our boys were keen shoppers at the recent Book Fair held in the Middle School Library. The fair was organised by Dymocks Brisbane who did a great job in keeping up with demand as titles sold out. Among the most popular titles was the new Jack Heath book 400 Minutes of Danger, the sequel to very popular 300 Minutes of Danger which Jack promoted when he was visiting BGS in Book Week.

Year 6 Squishy Circuit STEAM Activity

To complete their unit on electricity the Year 6s visited the Centenary Library to participate in a STEAM activity called 'Squishy Circuits', run by our very own Makerspace coordinator Ms Hunter.
